Pierre Balthazar welcomes chef Oth Sombath for an exclusive “diner à 4 mains”

Pierre Balthazar & Oth Sombath

On the 17th and 18th of June, the two chefs and friends will combine their expertise at The Restaurant by Pierre Balthazar. During these two days, Oth Sombath, chef at the Aux Trois Nagas restaurant in Paris, will try his hand at a “diner à 4 mains” alongside Pierre Balthazar.

Discover their collaboration during a business lunch or discovery dinner in the presence of the two chefs. Prepare for a total immersion in Thai cuisine; the menu offers creations with spicy accents and dishes with unusual combinations, merging the tradition of Asian cuisine with culinary innovation.

Just like previous collaborations with the other ambassador chefs Macarena de Castro – Restaurant Jardin * in Spain and Michael Fulci – Les Terraillers * Biot/Cannes, this looks to be a promising third edition of the “diner à 4 mains” in the presence of guest chef Oth Sombath!

Oth Sombath – “the petit Prince of Thai cuisine”

Oth Sombath

After spending a long time reflecting on future improvements to Thai cuisine, this chef has found his own style by keeping it’s natural spirit intact. His work is characterized by daring techniques, transforming Thai ingredients into a delight for the taste buds. At the same time, his dishes instantly stand out thanks to their aesthetics and well-considered modernity.

Pierre Balthazar – a generous chef

Pierre Balthazar

The secret of Pierre Balthazar’s kitchen can be found in his way of working, defined by the elementary pleasure of “satisfying”. With the wishes of guests in mind, he invites them to share his memories, travels and multiple encounters with multiple great chefs. An absolute culinary generosity born out of love for seasonal products. A common fascination with chef Oth Sombath, who also pays particular attention to local products that connect each dish with the essence of satisfaction.

The Brussels Jazz Marathon | 22-24/05/2015

, ,

Discover the vast and diverse jazz offer in our capital: the annual Brussels Jazz Marathon. This year the party celebrates its 20th edition!

The Brussels Jazz Marathon

The Brussels Jazz Marathon attracts jazz buffs from all over the world; numerous festivals amongst which the Brosella Folk & Jazz just a stone’s throw away from the Atomium; an ancient train station converted into a jazz club; a musical instruments museum with the world’s largest collection of saxophones and various record labels established at the heart of the European capital.

Jazz resounds in many clubs and even in the Brussels metro or in the streets on International Jazz Day. Not to mention that Brussels is Toots Thielemans’ home town and as he rightly points out: “We’ve got that thing called swing”.

The Brussels Jazz Marathon brings the most exclusive genres to the general public through a weekend-long programme of in- and outdoor concerts. Live performances take place at Grand-Place, Sablon square, St-Catherine square, F. Cocq square and Luxembourg square as well as in various indoor clubs and bars in the beautiful city centre. Jazz, blues, funk, world… you name it!

Just follow your ears as you stroll around the city. And as if that were not enough, add a special mini Marathon for kids, up- and downtown shuttles and a swinging, friendly atmosphere all over the city…

Don’t miss out on this wonderful weekend : May 22, 23 and 24 !
Free entrance for everyone.
